Sargaskayeva works at the intersection of paper, mark, and material presence. Her practice is rooted in the language of interiority - tracing spiritual states, memory, and transformation through intimate, meditative works on paper. Scale here is deliberate and telling: these are not intimate by accident, but by conviction. The 21 × 30 cm surface is a field for sustained attention, not spectacle.

Her method is layered, both formally and philosophically. She builds surfaces through accumulation and erasure - adding material, then removing it, then adding again - in a process that mirrors the non-linear progression of inner experience. The marks that remain in a finished work are not conclusions but residues: traces of a process that has passed through and beyond them.

The Spiritual Journey cycle, her most extended series to date, traces an inner transformation across eight works on paper. Each piece is complete in itself, yet the eight together form a sustained meditation - one that repays long looking and rewards a viewer willing to slow down.
